Participants in the Finance Sleep Out must:
We expect participants to approach the event with an open heart, an open mind, and a willingness to work hard for something outside of their comfort zone. Fundraising and awareness-raising take place before the event, and we provide coaching and materials to make the process easier for all participants. All participants are required to fundraise. The fundraising minimum per participant for Finance Sleep Out is $2,000.

Aim to raise $2,000 to serve homeless youth, by reaching out to 50 contacts about your Sleep Out. It is as easy as sending a few e-mails and posting your progress on social media - and our team will provide lots of tips and guidance to help you reach your goal.
We suggest you bring weather-appropriate layers of clothing, personal toiletries and medications, and a smartphone (if you use one). We will provide a new sleeping bag to you, or you can bring your own.
Please refrain from bringing any luxury bedding items, pillows, etc. as we expect you to sleep rough for one night in solidarity with homeless kids. We do not recommend that you sleep outside with any valuable items. We also ask that you refrain from bringing alcohol; Sleep Out is always a dry event.
Safety is our first and foremost concern whether it is for the young people we serve or for our supporters and guests at events. We will take all necessary precautions to ensure you are safe at the Sleep Out. And while the spirit of the event is to sleep outside, there will be space available to sleep in a sheltered area inside if should there be extreme weather.
All attendees must be registered participants. Please contact us to determine the eligibility of your friend or family member.
Contact us with the donation details so we can add the gifts to your fundraising page. You can either mail these offline donations to our office, or bring them with you to the Sleep Out on November 2, 2017.
