Why am I Sleeping Out on April 21?
It will be uncomfortable. It will be dark. But for one night I can give up the comforts of home knowing it can bring warmth and brightness to young people who need it most. Why? Because thousands of kids in New York spend some time living on the unforgiving streets each year. Because countless others are staying with relatives or friends dreading the day when there is no one else to take them in. Because one night can make a difference.
For homeless youth, there is Covenant House. Since 1972, Covenant House has been here to meet their immediate needs with a hot meal and a safe bed, then help them further their education, get a job, find permanent housing -- have a brighter future. With residential and supportive services spanning North America, they need our help more than ever before.
By participating in this event alongside many brave women, I am doing my small part to make sure the doors stay open for all who need them. Please help me…by clicking Donate Now.
