On Friday, March 24th, I have accepted the challenge to Sleep Out with Covenant House in Newark, NJ. I will be one of many supporters across the U.S. and Canada who will be sleeping outside, raising critical funds and awareness, to make sure homeless kids have a safe place to stay every night. It will be uncomfortable and it will be dark, but for one night I can give up the comforts of home knowing that - by doing so - I can bring warmth and hope to young people who need it most.
Covenant House has helped over 1.2 million homeless and runaway youth by providing food, shelter, warmth, and love since opening its doors more than 35 years ago. By spending one night on the street, I'm hoping to do my small part in contributing to their efforts; you can help. Thousands of kids spend each night on the unforgiving streets of our great cities. Countless others are staying with relatives or friends, dreading the day when there is no one else to take them in. One night can make a difference. Any donation will be greatly appreciated; every donation will make an impact.
The needs are greater than ever, as each year more than 2 million kids in America will face a period of homelessness. Help me help the kids. Click "Donate Now" to make a donation in support of my Sleep Out!
