Hey there, I hope you are all well. We at The Meatball Shop have been working with the Covenant House for a little while now on a project called "Meatball Heros". Meatball Heros is a project focused on bringing the restaurant to the kids and the kids to the restaurant.

last month, myself along with 5 other TMS staffers brought the Meatball Shop experience to the Covanent house. We served 25 kids studying in the culinary program the house offers. We brought custom menus, meatballs, sides, smiles and hospitality, it was a blast. The goal is to inspire these awesome yound adults to come work in our restaurants. The smiles we got back and overall excitement was a great reward. We want to give back to the New York City, whats a better way then feeding and employing people who might never get that opportunity in their age group. I will keep you all posted with how things go.

Now, for the purpose of why I'm reaching out. After we at TMS started a dialogue with CH I was approached to participate in a fund raising charity event called SLEEP OUT. I am always up for a challange, so as you can imagine I said HELL YEAH! I will be sleeping out on November 15 so that homeless youth in NYC don't have to. I know the streets of our city pretty well, I can give up the comforts of home knowing it can bring warmth and hope to young people who need it most.

Each year in 21 cities across North America, Covenant House serves more than 51,000 youth in their journey from the street to safety, and ultimately, to independence, this is amazing!

By participating in this event I am doing my small part to make sure the doors stay open for all who need them. It is with sincere pride that I take on this challenge alongside my fellow business leaders.
