Business Leaders Sleeping Outside, So Homeless Youth Don't Have To...
On November 15, 2012, Covenant House Pennsylvania (CHPA) joined together with its sister organizations in Camden and Atlantic City, NJ to bring attention to the issue of Youth Homelessness. We invited champions in the Greater Philadelphia and South Jersey area to sleep in solidarity with other champions throughout the US, Latin America and Canada to bring light to a growing issue.
Thank you to everyone who participated and supported this year’s Sleep Out: Executive Edition in Philadelphia. This year’s participants gave up the comforts of home to spend one night on the streets - a simple and compassionate expression of solidarity with homeless youth across the nation and here in Philadelphia. They had an opportunity to meet our brave kids and hear their inspirational stories, hopes, and dreams. Each participant received a sleeping bag, a cardboard box, security, and a memorable experience. We are so grateful for the generous support for this year’s event and look forward to next year’s Sleep Out.
