Nearly 2 million kids in America will face homelessness this year.
Covenant House exists to provide these young people with safe shelter and wrap-around social services including education and job training so they can move forward to an adulthood free of violence, poverty, and the threat of homelessness.
You can make a big difference for homeless kids.
Sign up to Sleep Out with us. Fundraise for Covenant House to keep the lights on and the doors open for all of the kids who need help. Then, spend one evening getting to know some of the kids whose lives will be better because of your work - and spend the rest of the night sleeping on the street in their place.
Sleep Out for one night so a homeless kid can have a better life.

Rita J. and Stanley H Kaplan Family Foundation
In July 2017, Covenant House New York marked the official opening of the Rita J. and Stanley H. Kaplan Family Foundation, Inc. Learning Lab. Creating the Learning Lab was a team effort with hands-on input from the Foundation throughout the process, including Foundation Trustee Gila Belsky, Executive Director Rebecca Tobin and Program Associate Chad Hansen. Ms. Belsky, who recently joined Covenant House New York’s Associates Board, reflected on the grant: “The Foundation and Covenant House understand that the worlds of business and education have been transformed by advances in computers and telecommunications. We are gratified to help Covenant House offer these opportunities to Covenant House youth to help level the playing field so they can reach their full potential.”
In October 2016, Gila and her fiance, Alex Modell, participated in the Real Estate Executive Sleep Out after receiving an invitation to learn more about Covenant House from event co-chair Arvind Chary.
